Happy Mother's Day!

Today is a day we honor all Mother's.  Being a mother and having my mother was truly a blessing, although my mom has passed she is always close in my heart... Missing her and realizing that everyday she was physically here was Mother's day.  She was beautiful, kind, creative and funny and I miss her so very much.  I miss her voice, hearing how she said my name, her laugh and most of all her love. The role of a daughter takes a different perspective when your mom is no longer here.  You have an altered way of being in the world.

I'm blessed to have become a mother and cherish my children with so much love! It truly is the greatest gift I have been given. I'm grateful and honored to be a mother and to have had the experience of my mothers love.

Defining Love ~ The Ending of a Relationship

Today I write about a blog in consideration of what I learned about Love in my recent ending of a three year relationship.... In my own process of self-inquiry, self-reflection and taking responsibility for my own feelings, thoughts and behaviors. I have discovered amazing insight into my own unconscious beliefs about Love. The Beginning: I met him online and slowly we started to get to know one another. Not spending  much time with one another, going slow.  During this time, I listened to his experiences and words... I chose to unconsciously see him the way I wanted him to "Be" for me. In other words, I took some of what he told me...some of what I wanted to see in him and the rest I made up to fit him into the person I wanted to Believe he was. All unconsciously... up until now. The Beginning

I wasn't sure where to begin.... so I'm just going to start.  There actually is no real beginning that I can or cannot remember.  I've always had an inner knowing that life has much more meaning than what is visibly in front of us.  And I was always in search of what it is that wasn't visible... even when I didn't realize I was searching for it. Journaling was a big part of my life growing up. I always kept a diary, recording my feelings, thoughts and life events that seemed worthy of an entry into my diary.  What I didn't realize is how instrumental writing was for me to put words to my feelings/ thoughts.. it kept me in touch with a part of me that shapes us into who we are and how we perceive the life we are living.  At times I would just write, not always understanding my writings at the time it was written.
